Andrew Cosby Estimating and Project Management headshot

Estimator and Project Manager, Andrew Cosby, brings close to 10 years of construction experience to the team at Old Dominion Firestopping.  His determination and importance to client satisfaction makes him the number one point of contact in this industry.  He has been involved with projects all the way from Maryland down to Florida and across the US to Arizona.  These projects range from Healthcare, Education, Government, Research, Data Centers, Higher Education, Hotels, Office Buildings, Prisons, Dormitories, Barracks, Sports Arenas and Museums.  These past projects give him the knowledge to successfully and professionally deliver a project with the highest satisfaction.

A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Building Construction program and former president of the Building Construction’s Sigma Lambda Chi honors society, Andrew’s core beliefs are what drives him every day.  These core beliefs include leadership, professionalism, communication, and determination.  He understands that without these, a project cannot be completed.  Something you will realize when working with him.

Andrew’s interests include, but are not limited to biking, golf, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, light carpentry and more.  As an outgoing individual, he is always open to trying new things.

Anabella Perez started with ODF in 2006 as their Full Time Safety and HR officer. Annie (known to many) is a native from the Panama Republic and makes sure that all employees go home to their families every day.  She involves herself with every project and resolves all safety risk factors.

Scott Armstrong Construction Manager Headshot

Scott oversees Old Dominion Firestopping’s field forces in the Richmond, DC, and Nashville branches.  He has built a strong dedicated team committed to delivering an industry best quality project from design to completion.  Scott started his construction career with Old Dominion Insulation in 1997, and transitioned to Old Dominion Firestopping during its inception in 2001.   As Construction Manager Scott has successfully completed projects from Boston to Ft Lauderdale, Ohio, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, and Arizona.   Scott holds a B.S. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.  He is also the Board President of the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Kevin Braun Estimating and Project Management Headshot

As a valued member of the ODF team, Kevin is responsible for estimating, scheduling, and managing projects from start to finish.  Beginning his career with the Old Dominion companies in 2008, his track record of success is unblemished, exceeding clients’ expectations over and over.  Oftentimes with firestopping, you need to think outside the box to provide a workable engineered solution that meets the required fire rating, is acceptable to manufacturers and clients alike, and does not cost the client an arm and a leg.  This is where he shines, and why many people prefer to consult him first when these challenges frequently present themselves.

Graduating from the Virginia Military Institute in 2000 sharpened his sense of ethics as it applies to the business world and beyond.  In his free time, he enjoys the great outdoors and is an avid music aficionado.

Justin Shedd TN Branch Manager Headshot

With over 15 years’ experience in the commercial construction industry, Justin Shedd was brought on board with ODF in February of 2011 to head our National Healthcare Division located in Nashville, TN. Through his knowledge and understanding of healthcare construction, he has developed many new relationships with owners, design teams, general contractors and trade contractors.  These new relationships have afforded ODF the opportunity to successfully preformed work in 6 additional states and continue to pursue work nationally.

Having graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, along with his experience as a healthcare project manager for a leading general contractor, Justin brings a very thorough understanding of the complexity in healthcare construction.  His knowledge has become extremely valuable to our clients in both the design and construction phases. He strives to be proactively involved in each project by foreseeing complex conditions and assisting in cost affective resolutions.

Before making construction his career, Justin served in the United States Marine Corps as well as the Army National Guard.  As a service to his community, he has helped organize Marine Corps Toys for Tots on many projects sites to help underprivileged children in the community. He understands the importance of the local communities and appreciates the opportunity to give back.

Cooper Reid started with Old Dominion Firestopping in 2001.
